Town Hall Meeting- Gunderson High School Theater Monday, February 4th, 2019

We want to hear from you! Join us for our second Town Hall Meeting of the 2018-19 school year.
Bring your ideas, thoughts and suggestions on how we can work together to reach our common goal of preparing today’s students to be the thinkers, leaders, and creators of tomorrow.
Live Spanish interpretation and free child care will be provided.
San José Unified’s town hall meetings are designed to bring the district office to YOU. Our trustees, superintendent, and department heads will be in attendance to hear your thoughts about the district and our schools and listen to the issues and ideas that are important to you.
All parents, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend and have their voices heard. Everyone will get at least one minute to speak. Comments and speaker cards will be reviewed after the meeting and responses posted to the district website. Please know that while we will not be able to address every comment right away, we will do our best to follow up in a timely fashion.

Community Viewing – Angst

Come and join us for our community viewing of Angst. Angst is a documentary designed to raise awareness around anxiety. A discussion about anxiety will follow the viewing.

Free babysitting for ages 3-4 and activities for students in K-5th. Snacks will be provided.

his hearing, held by the CA State Assembly Select Committee on Hate Crimes, will focus on the increase in hate crimes and bias-related bullying and how they are impacting our children, teachers, parents, and community. Hear from local leaders, experts, parents and students on challenges and collaborative solutions.
Assemblymember Kansen Chu (District 25 and Chair of the Select Committee on Hate Crimes), and co-hosts Dave Cortese (SCC Supervisor, Third District) and Cindy Chavez (SCC Supervisor, Second District) invite you to attend this hearing.
